Manufacturing has changed dramatically over the years, becoming increasingly high tech, often requiring advanced education and providing greater potential for employees. From specialized trades to engineering, opportunities abound in manufacturing. The 2012 Tour of Manufacturing of South Central Minnesota gives students, job seekers and the general public an opportunity to learn about what's manufactured here and the many exciting career opportunities available now and in the future. The event, which is free to attend, is similar to a "Parade of Homes," with community members able to stop by any participating manufacturer throughout the day to take a tour and learn about the business and industry.
